The Crash of AMD is near?

I know, when someone see this kind of topic in a blog of one of Intel's fans this seems pretty normal, but this time this is not the situation. After recently(read my previous post) Intel for a 2nd or 3rd time in a row launched CPUs without concurrency from AMD the second are loosing solid ground.
Here I found another topic:
http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/33122/130/

It is about the plans of AMD and their future strategy. I actually prefer them to play on the market, because one CPU monopolist will be a money bomb. Some very interesting times are coming....

In the meantime, Intel confirmed that their even newer CPUs will be out n the winter and will offer some unseen options to the customers. I just can't wait, because I decided to wait till then for my upgrade...It's a pitty it will be winter and the prices will be higher...

Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850

Today I saw, that a few days ago(17.07.2007) Intel announced their new flagship(desktop) - Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850. This little beast is with 4 cores x 3Ghz each. It has 8MB L2 Cache and is using the new 1333MHz system bus. I've been waiting for the new Intel CPUs but to my knowledge their absolutely new processors will be available in the winter or the late autumn. So I still do not know if these are the waited ones and will wait a bit more and see what will happen. Most probably I will be aiming at this current flagship, if its price drops down but the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 is the more probable model for me. It's a lot more cheaper, yet a bit less powerful.

In the meantime - nVidia are preparing their fans for the GF 9xxx series....they will be the real DX10 cards and agan on my wish list. The only problem is that I have to check if I won;t need a new mobo....which will make my investment a bit bigger than I have expected...only the time will show, and what is left is waiting.

In the meantime, you can have a quick read-through this article about the new CPUs from Intel.

And one more thing - AMD seems to lose the market again..this is the second hit from Intel to which AMD are totally unable to answer. I really do not like AMD, yet the competition is important...and they are loosing it. A clear indicator for this is that they fired 3% of their employees which is a lot for a company of their rank. Cross your fingers for their survival...Of course, not because you want to use their products, but in the name of the competition(and no monopoly on this pricey market).

Bleach Over

You know, I really feel screwed up by the way that Bleach is going on. Till today, since the very beginning of the anime, I have never before stopped the episode without having it watched till the end. After more than 130weeks of waiting and watching I am finally totally disgusted by the constant fillers that take place in this anime. It could have been much better if the Bounto story was not implemented, and(what is more annoying) tha latest 5-6 episodes, telling us a Naruto-like story about a f*cking self-born arankar. And when all this is not enough - voalla. We have a football story. Screw it, if I wanted to watch damn stupid sport anime, I would have chosen Eyeshield 21.

As the things have gone this way - I will continue only with the manga. At least from it I will understand the way of the real story and this won't take me 200x more time...Still, I hope that when the fillers are over I will start watching the anime again....but who knows.

Magic Movies

This year I have seen two really amazing movies. Not that there aren't others, but these two really surprised me in a very nice manner. The funny thing is that they are both about magic and particularly illusionists and in the same time they are both about something more than illusion. I really cannot retell the story of the movies, because you just have to feel it, yet I can express my feelings after watching them.
The Prestige
I watched this movie on the big screen. I am really glad that I spend money on it, because it left me breathless after its end.

A Short Plot Outline:
Robert and Alfred are rival magicians. When Alfred performs
the ultimate magic trick, Robert tries desperately to find
out the secret to the trick.

The Illusionist
This one I watched at home and I am really sorry that I missed it in the cinema. This one, although it seems similar by the name, is totally different from The Prestige. Nonetheless it is very good one, too. I liked it, especially the end. When I think of it...I liked the end of The Prestige, too. And it was the best part of the movie again:)

Plot:
A young boy falls in love with a girl that is way above his social standards along with the art of magic. Although the parents forbid them of seeing each other they cannot be split apart. Until one day they were found together and the boy was sent off. He became a magician and traveled the world. She fell in love with another man, the Crown Prince. The two got engaged but the boy, Eisenheim, finally meets back up with the girl and uses his powers to free her from the royal house in Vienna.
